Get More Results with StumbleUpon

If you're a StumbleUpon addict, such as myself, I have a recommendation for you. While using StumbleUpon as a passive experience, ie: "just click the button", is a favorite pastime, try entering in a keyword search. Given some testing the past few days, I have found numerous sites which I'm glad I've found, but which never pop up given regular stumbling.

This has to do with the way that the Stumble engine is set up. StumbleUpon uses the pages liked by other users with similar tastes to your own. Often this creates a lot of generic, amusing to everybody website database. When you enter in a keyword search, you are brought to sites tagged specifically with that identifier. After rating some sites found this way, StumbleUpon will have connected you with some other users you might not have been linked to before, affecting the general pool of sites you'll be shown in generic mode.

Happy Stumbling!
